"Beige Subaru 2 door, EA81 engine with Weber carb. Currently not running well, acting like it has an air leak in the intake. 4spd trans, front wheel drive. New axles. Rust isn't all that bad, mostly just cosmetic. Would be great for a Subaru enthusiast who has parts stashed away for these older cars. The odo says it has 256,000 miles but it hasn't worked in a few years. Reply by email."

Why I'm in Trouble Again

Weber kit is $327, requiring a $20 air cleaner to clear the hood, fabrication.. so that's about $140 left over to justify the car. With a 87k motor sitting in my parts car, no problem about that mileage..

Oh dear.

My weekend might be full. That 4wd transaxle won't weld itself on.

Oh, that can be taken care of. The 82 model uses brackets. Already have the grille. Yes, The Subaru Enthusiast with parts stashed away. Only competition: the same, not me people.

The 2wd is a bummer but 4wd is indeed a plausible option. It's probably holey under there anyway. They usually are. It's like vocational shop.
